Supernatural - Ghostfacers - review with spoilers

I'm not sure I'll write a long review of the episode. I liked it but like many I felt the lack of Sam and Dean. They weren't around enough.

Back when I first heard that Ed and Harry would be back, I thought they were great characters and if the show even produces a spin-off, they could totally be it, two guys who believe and want to face the Supernatural world, only they are just two goof balls. It would be a great comedy series.

And in the end, that's kind of how Ghostfacers felt like, a pilot for a new show, or at least the crossover the introduces a new show. Of course, they open the episode presenting this idea for a new show.

I jsut think it would have worked better if Sam and Dean had more screen time.

The in-jokes were fabulous. Remember that the first time the Winchester met Ed and Harry, they were investigating a haunting in Richardson, Texas (Jensen Ackles's hometown)? And how both Jensen (dean) and Jared Padalecki (Sam) are from Texas? Well, when Harry sees Sam and Dean, he says "aren't they the assholes from Texas?" (or something almost like that).

Anyway, it was a good episode, but I wonder if people turned off after ten minutes where not even the Js names apeared on screen, I wonder if they thought they were watching the wrong show.
