Supernatural season finale
I've been so caught up on many things - and so broken by the finale - that I haven't written about it yet.
I need to re-watch it and properly recover from it in order to write something. I don't know why this episode had me and many fans so shaken, but I think I can put some blame on Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. They acted their hearts and sould out in that episode.
If you haven't seen it yet, check I-Tunes and Amazon.
The episode was amazing, heartbreaking, but mostly really really perfectly acted by the show leads.

American Idol finale
Tonight is the night, and I'll be following the events through the IdolBlogLive, by the amazing DJSlim and his team of wonderful co-mods.
Now, I think everybody knows who's my favorite, but even if you don't, here's the vid of when I decided Mr. Snuggle (TM) was the best of this season's American Idol:

One day late, I know, I'm sorry, but at least it's here.
My first post with a track from DAvid's independent CD Analog Heart.

Supernatural night!
Time on my side
SAM AND DEAN MEET DOC BENTON; BELA'S FATE IS REVEALED As time runs out for Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam (Jared Padalecki) convinces him to head to Eerie, Pennsylvania to investigate a possible zombie case. Instead, they discover Doc Benton (guest star Billy Drago), a real-life doctor who, in 1816, abandoned his medical practice to follow his obsession with finding the key to eternal life by drugging people and stealing their vital organs. Meanwhile, Bobby (Jim Beaver) finds out where Bela (Lauren Cohan) is hiding, and Dean heads out to confront her, leaving Sam behind to deal with the good doctor. Dean and Bela battle it out for the last time, and Dean leaves Bela in a desperate, and possibly fatal, position. Charles Beeson directed the episode written by Sera Gamble (#315).

I'm late late late
I am so sorry! I have tons to talk about: last week's Supernatural, some casting spoilers for the show's season 4, my thoughts on American Idol's Andrew Lloyd Webber's week (see what I mean by late?), the fact that I finally watched the first episode of Kyle XY... So many things to blog about I'm tired already.
Unfortunately, this is not the post to cover these subjects. Yesterday I watched two great shows on tv, one old HV1 special about the Backstreet Boys (yeah, I had my boyband phase) and Oasis live in Paris. The Oasis show made me remember once again why I love Wonderwall so much. This song has one of the greatest melodies ever. I just love it, it's perfect.
I'm totally hyped tonight so I offer you Wonderwall.
And stay tuned. I'll be posting David Cook's songs here, starting with my favorite, Makeover!

Jensen Ackles in Australia
This is not really my fangirl space (I have one where I can have my ultra fangirl moments) but I feel like sharing this bit of interview taken during the writer's strike earlier this year.

The ol' good Jim Carrey
It's Saturday and I'm bored.
I was actually going to look for One Republic "Stop & Stare" video, but then I remembered I promised to show my sister this vide and I thought, why not post it?
Enjoy!

Supernatural tonight

Episode title: Long-Distance Caller (and you can bet how long the distance is)
DEAN GETS A CALL FROM HIS FATHER Dean (Jensen Ackles) is stunned after he receives a phone call from his dad (guest star Jeffrey Dean Morgan) who tells him he has a solution to get Dean out of his deal. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean fight because Sam is skeptical that it is really John on the other end of the phone and warns Dean not to listen to him but Dean disagrees and sets off on his own path to follow his father's orders. Charles Beeson directed the episode written by Sera Gamble (#313).

Is Jason Castro overwhelmed by fame?
According to this article from Entertainment Weekly (that I found thanks to MJ's American Idol blog) this is what's happening to the charming Texan boy.
I think even Jason thought he was the one who should have left in the Andrew Lloyd Webber week. I like the guy but Memories was not the right song for him.

Next week, on American Idol
The contestants will have to choose songs from this list. Some of my all time favorite songs are in there, and some of the songs featured in my beloved Supernatural, too.
You know what I'll miss next week? Carly. I'd love to see her singing White Rabbit.
More soon, I'm gonna reread the list and see if I can pick two songs for each contestant.

Supernatural - Ghostfacers - review with spoilers
I'm not sure I'll write a long review of the episode. I liked it but like many I felt the lack of Sam and Dean. They weren't around enough.
Back when I first heard that Ed and Harry would be back, I thought they were great characters and if the show even produces a spin-off, they could totally be it, two guys who believe and want to face the Supernatural world, only they are just two goof balls. It would be a great comedy series.
And in the end, that's kind of how Ghostfacers felt like, a pilot for a new show, or at least the crossover the introduces a new show. Of course, they open the episode presenting this idea for a new show.
I jsut think it would have worked better if Sam and Dean had more screen time.
The in-jokes were fabulous. Remember that the first time the Winchester met Ed and Harry, they were investigating a haunting in Richardson, Texas (Jensen Ackles's hometown)? And how both Jensen (dean) and Jared Padalecki (Sam) are from Texas? Well, when Harry sees Sam and Dean, he says "aren't they the assholes from Texas?" (or something almost like that).
Anyway, it was a good episode, but I wonder if people turned off after ten minutes where not even the Js names apeared on screen, I wonder if they thought they were watching the wrong show.

A song for your heart
Completely colorblind, these red lights are going unseen
Fall behind with words unsaid you know they're always obscene
'cause my ears, they bled before; I need to let them heal
She fell out; her broken legs won't let her walk away
From this town that couldn't give a single shit either way
And her fears, they bled before she's convinced that they're real
What are you looking for?
Are you looking for something more?
It's not me
It's not me
Lost her way from everything she swore she knew, a friend
Run away from start to finish though it never ends
In her mind she is blinded by all she sees
Close your eyes; just pretend the bullet isn't there
No surprise; no need to pretend that no one really even cares
But in her eyes you will find the very best in me
What are you looking for?
Are you looking for something more?
It's not me
It's not me
When did it all unwind?
Are you prepared for you'll find?
It's not me
It's not me

Criminal Minds - 3rd season
Criminal Minds has always called my attention because of the psychological approach of the show. It is a nice twist to the procedure shows that have been dominating the tv for the last 8/9 years. This third season the show was forced to go through some changes with Joe Mantegna joining the show after Mandy Patinkin left the show. They survived the wind of change and it's full of news.
One of my favorite changes is that Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) is getting more attention. Well, she started it last season when she went to field for the first time, but this season she had the chance to shine. I love her dinamic with all the other members of the team, specially Morgan and J.J. Even the newcomer David Rossi already has a soft spot for her and her geekiness.
Another great aspect is the guest appearances. Eddie Cibrian, Frankie Muniz, and my personal favorite former Veronica Mars' "Weevil" Francis Capra, and of course, Nicholas Brendon and my beloved Bobby Silver, ie, Jim Beaver. The list goes, but these are examples of how much fun a coach potato like me have seeing so many familiar and talented faces.
So if you like crime shows, it's tired of the whole procedural stuff and is interested in learning how the mind tick (and you're not Sylar, because he's have that knowledge down to an art by now), check it out Criminal Minds in a tv station near you.
That's it for now.
See you all soon,
Jell.

Introduction post
Hi,
welcome to my new cyber home!
I'm Jell and this blog is all about (sometimes guilty) pleasure. Movies, music, tv and sometimes even life.
English is not my native language so please forgive me if I say something stupid while trying to say something else.
I'm currently up-to-date with Supernatural (my all time favorite Tv Show) and American Idol, but I am a fan of Buffy and Angel. I also watch Criminal Minds and Chuck but I'm behind with these shows.
I'll probably also blog about the CSI franchise because I'm familiar with it and a few more shows I know, even if I don't follow them.
As for movies, I watch lots and have many favorites, specially the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp ones.
There's lots more that I'll say later.
Bye for now!
